2002 Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament
Greenbelt completed its 2002 season today with a tough loss to the Virginia State team in the bottom of the 9th, 4-3. Dan Nicol pitched an incredible and complete game, holding them to 2 runs in 8 innings. The defense played another super game as well. It was a great opportunity to be the Maryland State Champions and to experience the Mid-Atlantic Regional games.
We are all very proud to be a part of such a great, successful
team. The coaching staff's love of the game and commitment to excellence has brought honor
and pride to this group of dedicated young men. American Legion
Baseball is one of the finest programs in the USA for developing
character in our young athletes.
