Opening Day - May 25, 2002
The Greenbelt 2002 season began today at 11:00 with its home opener against Herndon at Riverdale.
Solid pitching from Dan Nicol and strong relief from Tim Hammond and Steve Gonzalez, combined with talented hitting, base running and fielding, drove the team to a 10-2 win to begin the progression to another consecutive championship season.
